Most children receive so many gifts throughout the year, on holidays and special occasions, that it is hard for them to appreciate and enjoy them all! The CAPS Birthday Club is an excellent way to nurture altruism and teach about the joy found in helping others.

Here is how it works!

Instead of bringing a traditional gift for the birthday child, party guests are asked by the birthday boy/girl to bring  Contributions, in his/her honor, for Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa, Inc. (CAPS)

 
WHAT MAKES THE CAPS BIRTHDAY CLUB SO SPECIAL?

The club is special because it allows you, your friends and your family to honor your birthday in a profound way, by helping abused children and protecting other children from abuse. Long after traditional gifts are forgotten, these contributions to CAPS will continue to brighten the lives of children in our community, benefiting children who have been abused, neglected, or are learning how to break the cycle of abuse!

Joining the club is free, fun and easy!

Here’s is how to get started:

Select a date, time and location for your party.

Choose your preferred party invitations

Contact CAPS at (205) 758-1159 before sending your invitations to request your FREE Birthday Club invitation inserts and additional agency information.

Include the inserts with your invitations when you mail them.

Host the party and take lots of pictures!

Be sure all checks are made payable to Child Abuse Prevention Services or CAPS and include on the memo line CAPS Birthday Club.

What to do after the party:

Monetary contributions can be delivered to CAPS by your choice of: mailing them to the  CAPS office:

        618  14th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401    OR   

        you may make arrangements to deliver the donations by calling (205) 758-1159

Be sure to include the child’s name and your address and phone number.  You may also include a picture from your child’s birthday party to be displayed at the office on the Birthday Club Wall of Fame!

Each CAPS Birthday Club member will be sent an official membership certificate and will be invited to future recognition events held exclusively for birthday club members.
